Super Smash Bros Brawl Review

Hello people!!! I'm finally done with all the essays I had to do so it's time for my next review.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the third in a series and is played on the Nintendo Wii. It is based on you choosing a Nintendo character from a pretty good list and fighting other Nintendo characters. A lot of you will suddenly think of it as a regular brawler like Tekken 6, but that is a lie!!!! It is actually VERY different.
The controls consist of a power attack and a regular attack. You decide what move to use based on which direction your character is moving at the time of the button press. Some characters even have hidden moves when you do it at a certain time.
The controls aren't that hard to get used to and learning the various moves is much easier than Tekken 6. It is a 2D game so you also don't have to worry about moving around the enemy.
The only really goo d modes are arcade and brawl. The subspace emissary mode just plain sucks and it is just easier to unlock characters through plain battling. The online mode is also fun but can get very laggy at times. The lag is not usually that bad but can get annoying at times. I have had bad experiences with online mode due to get triple team by a group of people and it wasn't that fun when it happened.
Overall this game is great and is a must buy. It is selling for $50 new and $40 used. Next review will be on Gears of War.

I would also like to make a formal apology to Ascension Gaming from my recent What I did this past week post. I forgot to give credit to them as well for giving me the idea. I am sorry and hope it wasn't too traumatic for you guys. I am a huge fan and it makes me feel a little guilty.

Left for Dead Review

It's time for the Left for Dead review!!! Before I start I would like to say that there will be a shortage of new reviews in the next week as I have been very busy lately. Enough of that, let's get on to the review!!!
Left for Dead is well, a zombie game. I have to say most zombie games that come out tend to not be that great but this game was different. It may get slightly repetative at times but that's why you have other games to play also.
This game is mostly focused around co-op gameplay. Playing this game in single player is one of the worst things you can do. With LFD2 out now the servers did start to slow down but not by a notable amount. The only game mode you'll really be able to get into until you get better is Campaign co-op as everything else people tend to kick suckish players.
There are three game modes. They are campaign, survival. and versus. In campaign you do the campaign, no surprise there. In the campaign you have four different mini stories based on the same characters in different areas. This mode is the easiest in co-op even on the harder difficulties. In survival you well, survive. I, myself have not played this mode as much because I'm constantly getting kicked. So play it with friends. In versus there are two teams. Alive people, and dead people. The dead people try to stop the alive people from reaching the end of the level. Really simple but it's packed full of unfriendly high pitch voiced little kids that like to scream at you.
Overall this game is great, I recommend this to anyone and hope to see you online!!! Next review is going to be on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Call of Duty 4 Review

It's time for yet another review!!!! This review will be on Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.
Call of Duty 4 is the fourth installment in the Call of Duty franchise. It is also the first of the series to be rated M for Mature. This game started what I call, The Call of M series. This currently consists of COD4, COD:WAW, and MW2. I have played all except MW2 and I will most likely never play it. I do not support the M game rating yet I do enjoy them.
COD4 was the first COD game to delve into the world of current day war. The campaign consists of the traditional COD feel. The story is pretty interesting, but it is not as good as other games. Included with the campaign is a great multiplayer mode which I actually got the game for.
This game uses the controls well and has my personal favorite shooter control layout of any game. You shoot with RT, and scope with LT. Simple as that and it makes great control. Who need clicking the right stick to zoom in.
As long as I have played this game I have not run into any glitches that I did not purposefully activate. Just going into a match with your friends and doing some of the glitches can be great fun as there are many good ones.
The COD4 online community is one of the biggest that has existed and was a close competitor with Halo 3. The online mode for Cod4 was also the first of the series to include a great ranking and unlock system incorporated. It had the ability that if you got to the highest level and got bored you could restart entirely from scratch with none of your unlocks except game modes and your clan tag. When you prestige which is what it is called, you get a special symbol in place of the rank symbol showing what prestige you are on. You can prestige at level 55 and there are 10 prestiges.
All in all this game is a great one and there is in fact a sequel to it. Though I don't intend to get it for awhile. If you want a good shooter this games goes well hand in hand with Halo 3 and is a must own for any gamers collection. My next review will be Left for Dead.

Tekken 6 Review

Time for my second review!!! Since I have to return Tekken 6 soon I will now review it.
Well Tekken 6 is part of a long series of fighting games released for various systems. It is obviously the sixth release in the series. The Tekken franchise uses a system where you use various button combos to execute different moves.
The various moves sets for each character are extremely extensive. The list of the moves can take you awhile to get through and memorizing each and every single move. To execute the moves use use the directional buttons to go up down left or right. You then combine them with the x, y, a, and b buttons on the 360. Each button controls a different limb on the body.
There are many Game Modes you can choose from including a form of campaign and an arcade mode. The scenario mode a.k.a. campaign consists of you going through small pathways holding many weak enemies. At the end of each level is a boss that is really the only hard part of the level.
In the arcade mode you go through fighting one enemy at a time in a way that feels reminiscent of all those old arcade games in one versus one matches. This is the funnest way to play this game as scenario mode isn't that great at all.
This game is extremely fun and I am looking forward to buying it in stores. If you like fighting games you should definitely get this game as it is a good edition to any collection. I have never really liked fighting games but this game caught my attention. My rating for this game is 8/10 because there were some frustrating moments yet the game was very fun. Thanks for reading and next review will be coming in 2 to 3 days. Don't forget to read my previous posts and come again.

Current Games

Well it's time for my weekly Wednesday update where I will post what I have recently playing and what I have been doing in that game. Yes, this is a rip-off of some other blogs but it does give a good insight into what the blogger does.
-Oblivion
No surprise here. I have been obsessed with Oblivion for a long time and I am currently attempting to finish some of the achievements up. This means a giant Shivering Isles grind-through. Yay -_-
-Halo 3
What else is there to do in this game besides multiplayer? I have been trying to get above a Lieutenant Grade 2, but since I'm not very good at it. You get the point. Favorite game mode is Team SWAT.
-Tekken 6
I'm not that much of a fighter fan but since I am renting it from the library I just said what the hell. Surprisingly it is a VERY fun game!!! Expect it to be my next review. Gonna buy it as my next game.
-Finally Super Smash Bros Brawl
Love this game, love the Wii. All haters please don't even say a word...

Well that was my first weekly check up and I hope you'll like my next review. Please also don't forget to read my Oblivion review as every new post moves the previous post down a page!!!

Oblivion Collectors Edition Review

Well would you look at that, it's my first review!!!! This is a call for me to review one of my favorite games. Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is what I shall review first. Not only that but I will be reviewing the collectors edition version.
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is a game that came out around 2006 or something like that on the PC and Xbox 360, but was then released on the PS3. Oblivion is a HUGE game that is not for the faint of heart. The game will take you an extremely large amount of time out of your life, so be warned you will NEVER get that time back. However, do not let that discourage you as this game is probably the best game you will play for a long time.
The story centers around your character. At the beginning you are in a prison cell for unknown crimes. The Emperor will come down the stairs and will escape through the cell. This starts one of the most boring tutorials I have EVER seen and you will want to get through it as fast as possible. Not only is it boring but most of the tutorial message will not pop up unless you pick up or use a special item. After the tutorial you are meant to find the dead emperor's son and stop Dagon from invading Cyrodill.
Now let's get to some of the technical details. The menu system is probably one of the best menu systems I have ever used. Some people seem to hate it but I love it. There are a large assortment of weapons and armor in this game that you may choose from, and depending on your class you can have blades, blunts, bows, and magic. The class system is pretty complicated and if you cannot get any help your first few characters will most likely not be the best ones ever made. The land is huge and if you were to try and walk across it you would have a long walk ahead of you. The average non-horseback ride could average somewhere between 5-20 minutes depending on the distance. The are many dungeons and various places you must discover to put them on your map for fast travel.
There are many quests in this game and just doing the guilds and the main quest line could take you around 20-30 hours for all of it. Then you have the side quests which could take you around 20 hours to do depending on your experience. If you get the expansions that's another 20-30 hours. With all that added up you STILL have all the various dungeons left to explore which could take you 50+ hours. This is definitely the game to get if you like long games.
Now on to the Collectors Edition set. The case comes in a nifty sleeve that looks like a regular case would. You slide out the case and you get a non-advertisement and info defiled box a pure beauty. Flip it over and you have a pic of an Oblivion gate. Open it up and your greeted by a Deadra and a Blade. On the left side you have your pocket guide to Tamriel and a nifty Bonus disk containing Some pics and a documentary. On the right side you have your game disk and manual and a nice map of the game. If your lucky you'll also have a Septim coin somewhere in the set but I wasn't lucky and didn't get one sadly.
Well there you have it, my first review done with Oblivion music playing in the background and Diet Coke on the side table. This game is a must have for any gamers collection, but be careful and don't forget about your real life like I did. This game made me fail Math because I was so immersed in it. Well thanks for giving your time to read this and I hop eto see you for my next review.
